On 16 April, 2014, cadets from the Falcon Battalion boarded a bus and traveled to the Air National Guard Base in Burlington, Vermont. Technical Sergeant Aldridge showed cadets many of the weapons systems used on F-16s. This included the smallest missiles at 250 lbs and the largest at 2000 lbs. After viewing many weapons, Staff Sergeant Ward showed cadets one of the engines. Cadets were shown the various compression stages on the engine. Afterwards, Master Sergeant Sardella showed cadets the outside of the jet and gave general knowledge about them. Cameras could be mounted on the side of the jet to view bombs as they drop. There are airbrakes on the back wings that can slow the plane down from above supersonic speeds to subsonic speeds. Staff Sergeant Thumper showed cadets the cockpit. Through the complexity of the cockpit, cadets were shown the ejection seat and its many safeties and the various controls. After the tour, cadets thanked the tour guide, Technical Sergeant Toth.
