Falcon Battalion will host our semiannual Promotions and Awards Ceremony in the high school auditorium at 6:30 on 20 January 2022.
The first promotions of the 2019-2020 year went really great. We thank all of the cadets that showed up to promotions, And all of the parents and guests that showed up to support the battalion. Our turnout was a wonderful two thirds of the entire battalion. We hope to have another great turnout at the next event that comes up.
Thank you to all of the cadets and family that showed up. Thursday, January 30 2020, cadets are expected to show up for promotions. This will take place in the auditorium of the High school. All parents, guardians, family and friends are invited to come. The expected wear is Class-B for all cadets.
If a cadet cannot make it to promotions then they are expected to make up two uniform wear days. Promotions counts as two uniform grades, because of this they are expected to wear their Class-B for two days in class to make up for this grade. They need to be made up in the week of 03-07 February or 10-14 February in school and in class. North Country Union High School core of cadets provided a small Memorial Day ceremony to the residents of Bel Aire Nursing Home on Memorial Day.
The NCUHS Falcon Battalion marches in the Newport Memorial Day parade to honor those who gave their lives in service of the Nation.
The Falcon Battalion spring awards ceremony was held in the high school auditorium on 17 May. Cadets arrived at 4:30 PM in Class B uniform. The ceremony began promptly at 5 PM.
The VFW Auxiliary awarded the North Country Union High School JROTC program the Youth Activities Award for supporting area veterans. Three JROTC members were awarded the top awards in the Post 798 Voice of Democracy competition. Congratulations to the top prize winner Christina, second place to Shayne, and third place to Mathew.
